I just bought The Wednesday Letters by Jason F. Wright. I bought it Friday and had planned on reading it over the weekend but didn't get around to it. I still haven't got it started yet.

I bought most recently Blindness by Jose Saramago. I'm reading and enjoying it.

Before that I bought something by Robin Cook (formerly my favorite author), but couldn't get into it.

Before that I bought What to Expect When You're Expecting. I'm still working my way through that one.

That is soooo me. I love buying books. I have tonnes of them. I give some away after I've read them, but I keep most. Lately, I'm heavy into apologetics books.

Last book I bought and read is Prayers by Phillip Yancey. He's one author I deeply admire for his honesty, but he doesn't compromise his beliefs. Awesome book, though I'm not quite done yet. I have so many books I'm trying to finish that it will take me awhile to get this one done.

I bought The Periodic Table and Physics for my children. Both use anime-like characters to visualize concepts.

For myself I bought 2 gardening books, a book on making soups and stews, The Explorers (white explorers in Australia), and Book Lust (librarian Nancy Pearl suggests books on every subject).

I bought the other day the Circle Trilogy of books (Black, Red, White) by Frank Peretti. I haven't started them yet, but I hope to make a dent tonight.

I've got it worse than that, I work in a book store!

I haven't paid for a book in months, but was just given "The Betrayed" by Lisa T. Bergren, and the new NLT Study Bible. The bible is awesome! Gonna take me months just to browse through it.

My wife made me go to a yard sale last Satuday and I picked up The Kingdom of the Cults (October 1997 edition) by Walter Martin for $1.00 and Isaiah: Prophecies, Promises, Warnings (published in 1971) by W. E. Vine for $0.50.

I am awaiting the following cookbook:

Osteria
by Rick Tramonto

I receive one each month and now I've found more that I "need". I haven't begun to consider the Christian titles I must have as well.

I just ordered Andrew Womack's "The War is Over"

and a smaller book, "Reverse the curse" from Annette Capps.

I bought "A Case for the Resurrection of Jesus" 2 months ago by Gary Habermas and Michael R. Licona.

Also Lee Strobel's A Case for a Creator.

So, yes, if I could get my motivation to speak, I would be a whole lot
more pleasant to listen to.

Blessings to all who like to read.

House was fun. It made it's rounds through the family. We're all awaiting the movie.

Well, it's got an R rating so if "the family" includes kids, you might want to reconsider.

It does, but the kids are old enough to watch it if it's just some gore. There's no sex or nudity in the book, so we know we're in the clear there.

My 15 yr old finished House this fall. Said it was one of the scariest books she'd read.

I admit it. I caved. I bought Twilight, and I'm 31 years old, so I don't have much of an excuse.

I won't be going to theaters to see the movie (maybe rent the DVD), but I did wanna see what all the hoopla was about concerning the book. All I had to do was pick up the silly book and a woman standing next to me just smiled and said I wouldn't be disappointed.

Bring on the bloodsucker, I guess.

My step-daughter just bought book 4.

I heard the movie was total cheese.

I just bought Ina May's Guide to Childbirth. (Is there a pattern to my book purchases????)

Sideways...the demographic segment of Twilight's readers that are adult women (approx age 30 to 50) is as likely large or even larger than the teen/college demographic segment. So, you've got a lot of company.
