Of all the fiction books you have read, which is your favorite? Mine is 'last light', by Terry Blackstock. Normally her books are murder mysteries, which i dont read anymore, tho she is a christian writer, but this book was different. It was sort of an adventure, which I realize I like in my stories. It is a portrayal of something that 'they' say could actually happen. A sun flare causes modern day electronics to stop working. Suddenly the world comes to a stand still and they have to figure out how to live. Cars stop, planes stop, cellphones dont work. There are simply no communications to carry long distances. I just enjoyed it, and I like her writing style. It moves and gets to the point pretty quick.

Oh dear... This is a toughy. I suppose I shall have to say That Hideous Strength, by Mr. Clive Staples Lewis. There's just something I love about the way he presents such an epic conflict in such a... Well, a human way, I suppose. That, and I've never read such well-done didactic fiction. Usually when Christian authors try and present truth through fiction, all you get is a disguised Sunday school lesson. But Lewis, he tells a great story that lets you learn, instead of preaching at your through his characters. Very enjoyable. King's The Stand is a close second, though.

That is hard. My gut reaction is Jane Eyre. However, I can't even have a favorite color two days in a row. So Lord of the Rings, Til We Have Faces, The Brothers K, Ursula Under, How Green Was My Valley, and Pride and Prejudice are all contenders.

ORIGINAL: NESS55 The Paradise War by Stephen Lawhead NESS<>< The whole Song of Albion series is fabulous. When you finish it, start his Pendragon Cycle or his new Robin Hood series (Hood & Scarlet so far, Tuck in Feb. 2009). I love Lawhead's writing, even if he does call my Irish ancestors barbarians. i know right!! i cant wiat for Tuck!!! NESS<><

I'm with Auben... this is a hard question, and I have to go with the classics as my gut response: Jane Eyre or Pride and Prejudice. For a modern novel, I have enjoyed Francine Rivers' Redeeming Love a lot more than most novels.

Roll Of Thunder, Hear My Cry by Mildred D. Taylor was my FAVORITE book in grade school. It won a Newbery. My favorite series is the Babylon Rising series by Tim Lahaye. I thought it was better than Left Behind. As for a more current book, I can't think of one.

Oh, I would definitely have to break it down into categories but I'll start with: the book that made me laugh the most - I Feel Bad About My Neck by Nora Ephron
