I have seen several posters use the term "redneck" which is a derogatory term for white people yet writing "n-word" is forbidden. Are slurs acceptable here as long as they are aimed at white people but any slurs towards blacks are completely un-acceptable?

Can the term "redneck" be added to the TOS so posters will not use it anymore?

If you see a post with the term redneck used, report it using the ticket system and a mod will check it out. We don't see all of the posts so we rely on the community to help us out.

I don't see anything wrong with that particular term. It's usually used as a joke, like Jeff Foxworthy type of thing. The "N" word is offensive to black people because it's associated with slavery and stigma. I also find the terms "loony", "schizo", "mental", "psycho" and other degrading, stigmatizing terms to describe mentally ill people to be offensive as well.

My redneck means I been out working in the sun. Nothing wrong with that whether one is from Calif, Michigan, Vermont, South Carolina, Oklahoma or Texas.

All I said was we'd check it out, I've never asked Fritz if the word is unacceptable or not.
