No wives, but I did meet Tim's son. He was on the bus for the weekend.

Frank's, Scott Fowler's, and Tim's wives were on the cruise I went on in June. I had met Taryn Fowler at one of the L5 Celebrations and I've met Debbie Bennett several times.

Speaking of sons, I met Jordan Bennett during his all-too-brief stint as L5's bass guitarist. He really did well, too.

Yes, come to think about it, I did meet Jordan while he was on the road. I saw him in Chambersburg, Pa. Was one of the last times I saw Roger, he was so weak....

I also met up in Schroon Lake Carol Holtz parents. They were with L5 for the weekend. She was the office manager and I think she works for Ken Davis now. Nicest people in the world. When I saw her name tag I asked if they were related to Carol and it was like old friends after that. Really nice people!

I never got to meet any of their wives, but I did get to meet the ever-infamous Grant Howard!

Well then, this brings up another L5 question!

Have you ever met any of the L5 member's children or other family? If so, who?

I missed the wives question earlier, but I've had the blessing of meeting Debbie Bennett and Kelly Howard.

As to where I was when I first saw L5. It was maybe 4 1/2 years ago and we drove about an hour to attend a freewill concert at a church. I'd waited forever to see them and I got to see them twice that year. God is so good!

Mount Gilead, OH, September 11, 2005.

(I don't think I recall the date of any other concert I've ever attended. But for some reason, that date stuck out... )

My first time was in January, 2005 at Roswell Street Baptist Church in Marietta, GA where L5 gave its first performance in 2000.

Late 2000 or early 2001, at the Temple Theater in Meridian, MS. The last time was here in Baton Rouge in late 2006 (I think it was 2006, maybe 2005?) at "The Exciting Istrouma Baptist Church." I'd love it if they came back near here sometime soon.

zzzzzzzzz

Another question!

When is the next time you expect to see L5 in concert?

and one more...

Have you ever got to have dinner/lunch with L5 (apart from Celebration)?

I'll be seeing them on Jan. 2, 2009. And I haven't actually eaten at the same table with any of them even though I've been to Celebration and on the cruise around Hawaii.

next Sat night

I have eaten in the same dinning room probably 8 times. In 2000 we ate next to the guys, and I was in the buffet line with Roger. This past July we ran into the guys again in the same buffet line and were seated next to each other again. NO WE ARE NOT STALKING THEM!

You will LOVE it! They have plenty of time to sing and things just are more informal at this particular concert. And, as an added bonus, you'll get to see Greater Vision. There's not much better than L5 and GV together!!!

When is the next time you expect to see L5 in concert?

I plan on seeing them in April in Spring Arbor, MI. with Greater Vision! My two most favorite groups together!

quote:

Not at the same table, but I did in the same room. It was at the Hickory Corners, MI. concert in 2004 when Roger was gone for his first transplant. They had the dinner before the concert.

One of my dreams was to be able to sit down with Roger for one hour and have coffee with him and just be able to talk and ask him all kinds of questions and get him to tell stories. Guess I'll never get that now this side of Heaven. It's okay, because an hour in Heaven may be a 1,000 years, and Oh! The talk we will have then!

And on that note, here is a new question!

If you could have any one wish granted concerning L5 or any one of it's members, what would that wish be?
