Did they just use his original version and add harmonies, or did he come in to do a guest vocal?

It was an entirely new version. Gerald was singing in a couple of places - not whole verses or anything, and a big finish at the end!

Last night in Dallas, NC was Fantastic. The Perrys outdid themselves!!! I admit I was in serious Perrys' withdrawals so the chance to go was a no brainer for us but man I didn't expect anything like the service we had! We had church!!!!

And I have to say a word about Troy Peach, I've heard him over and over with a lot of groups but he was outstanding last night with the Perrys! It was one of a kind nights, Libbi encored Potter knows the Clay twice and they had to encore the entire song of Hide me Again. The Lord was moving in a special way in the service and folks were being blessed!

Since we probably won't get to another concert for a while, it was special to share this one with the Perrys, especially one where God moved in such a special way!

Last night I saw the Booth Brothers, Triumphant, and Aaron Wilburn in concert in Lynchburg, VA. I posted over in the BB thread a little about it.
First on was Triumphant...I took my mother as her Christmas present and she had never seen TQ before...I think she will be seeing them again. They were fantastic as usual. They sang a lot of Christmas songs...I think my favorite was the acapella version of "God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman" around one microphone! It was gorgeous! I think I have a new favorite song to post in the Favorite Christmas Song thread.
Aaron Wilburn was MC for the night and filled in between sets with some of his routine. My sides are still hurting. I think I understood Michael to say Aaron was riding the bus with them this weekend. You can only imagine the comedy and antics...mostly off the cuff from those two all night. Then the Booth Brothers did their set. Almost 2 hours later we had intermission.
Aaron Wilburn started off the second set...he and Michael had us in stitches especially when he and Jim Brady did an impromtu backup vocals on Aaron's song Runny Nose...I may have the title wrong but it was hilarious. Triumphant came out and started their set off with a wonderful Christmas melody...then the Booths joined them for a song. Ronnie, their friend Daryl Toney (Sp? first name), and Jim on accoustic guitars, Michael on bass guitar, Jeff Stice on piano, and David Sutton on harmonica did a couple of songs including a crowd pleaser "I'll Fly Away"! It was beautiful! The Booths ended the night with Michael preaching...that is how I describe it...a wonderful message in both song and message. They ended with Ronnie playing his guitar on "Through it All"...dedicated to Bev Lowry...Mark's mother who was in attendance. I was able to visit with Bev and all the guys. We had church, we had giggles and downright side splitting laughter but it was a great concert to benefit the Patrick Henry Boys and Girls Home in Lynchburg. Well worth the 16 hour round trip I made to VA!

Donna didn't go tonight. There's something in that building that really sets off her allergies.

Lynn, your concert sounded fantastic!! Clayton very nicely delivered your hug to me. He even remembered your whole name - even the Griggs part! I was very impressed!

I saw Triumphant and Brian Free tonight and it was also fantastic. We probably heard about the same songs Lynn did from her concert. Scotty was featured several times tonight and was singing especially well. He did my favorite Christmas song - Hope Has Hands - and I'm going to try hard to get that video and some others posted tomorrow. Brian Free & Assurance sang a lot of their regular songs and several Christmas songs as well. I loved it when they took the stage together in the second half. TQ did Long As I Got King Jesus with BF&A and it was super! They did an audience participation thing with the Twelve Days of Christmas and had quite a variety of singers and personalities! And as a finale, Jerry Goff was there and sang a song with all of the guys with pianist extraordinare, Jeff Stice, stepping right up to accompany them on the song that he hasn't played before. Really good stuff!!!

It's late for me, so I'm gonna log off for now. See y'all tomorrow.

Wow...me too!! That means he really does read facebook!!!
He said I know who you are when I first spoke to him. Apparently my pictures preceed me!

Sounds like a great concert...look forward to seeing your videos. I tried to record a couple videos but my new camera doesn't have a lot of internal memory and it was about at the end of the concert I figured out how to have everything sent to the SD card instead of the internal memory first.

I was there last night too! It was a great concert! We had asked Triumphant to do Back To Me last time we saw them and they weren't able to, so last night Jeff told me he would make sure they did it. That is such a beautiful song! Also loved seeing Brian do Christmas Shoes. I definitely enjoyed the concert!

After being with Lynn & her Mother Friday night at a great concert, which she has writen about, Alex & I had a chance to go to see The Gaithers Home Coming show last night. It was a great program with a lot of CHRISTmas music. If I started to list all of the preformers I know I would forget someone. The one that surprised me the most was Guy Penrods replacement. It was David Phelps & did he do a great job. Mark Lowery was there also, & was taking about the virgin birth of Jesus. He can make anything fun when he talks, yet he was very serious. They closed the program with CHRISTmas songs & at the very end the lights on the stage & in the building were out except for several CHRISTmas trees. David Phelps then sang "O Holy Night". It sent chill bumps up & down you it was so beatiful. A very good CHRISTmas program that I would love to see again.
