Philippians 4:11
I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.

Most are not content even when they have all they WANT.

For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each man's work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each man's work.

For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith. (Romans 12:3)

The heart is more deceitful than all else And is desperately sick; Who can understand it? "I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give to each man according to his ways, According to the results of his deeds. (Jeremiah 17:9-10)

But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light,

2 Corinthians 10:4 - The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to tear down strongholds.

Wherever a stronghold exists, it is a deomonically induced pattern of thinking. Specifically it is a "House made of thoughts" which has become a dwelling place for satanic activity.
The strongholds upon which demons rely consists of our own thoughts, attitudes, and opinions which are in agreement with evil.
The strongholds that affect us most are those which are so hidden in our thinking patterns that we do not recognize them or identify them as evil.

Acts 4:12
Salvation is found in no one else,
for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”

If it wasn’t for Christ what would this world be like?

2Timothy 3:12-13
In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,
while evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.

Hebrews 10:25
Let us not give up meeting together,
as some are in the habit of doing,
but let us encourage one another —
and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

If you do not have time for God; WHY should God have time for you?

How does your comment fit the verse you quoted?

I'm not sure that a few hours one day a week fills a need, responsibility, or obligation to have time for God.

If we aren't spending time with Him and for Him the other six days and remainder of that one day, we are little better off than others who seldom, if ever, darken the doors of an assembly of believers.

For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Luke 5:4 - When Jesus had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch."

Luke 5 is a great example of the Church in our day. We have been fishing all night and have not caught much. Many of us have not ventured out of the shallow water, out of the zones of safety and comfortableness, to find the fish where they are.

The fish are in the deep water; they are outside the Church, and outside our opinions and prejudices. As we are obedient to God's call and venture into the deep water and into relationships with people "on the streets," we will be overwhelmed by the response and will need to network with other churches to accommodate the great numbers of people who will come to Jesus.

How does your comment fit the verse you quoted?
Sunday, Wednesday, Saturday and gatherings at other times for various reasons.
Most all of the comments are geared to our life style and what we observe around us.

Acts 17:30
In the past God overlooked such ignorance,
but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.

When we face God in the end; we can not play dumb.

They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God
because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts.

Revelations 13:9-10
He who has an ear, let him hear.
If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity he will go.
If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword he will be killed.

This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of the saints

In all circumstances, STAND.

Luke 23:44-46 - By now it was about midday and a darkness fell over the whole land, whch lasted until three in the afternoon; the sun's light failed. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Then Jesus gave a loud cry and said, 'Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit'; and with these words he died.

When the veil of self cloaks our hearts, our perceptions are stained by the basic selfish orientation of our nature.
But when one turns to the Lord, the veil of the self-life, like the veil in the temple, is torn in two. This is not the cutting of some thin cloth but the tearing of the heart, the splitting in two of the tightly woven fabric of self-righteousness and self-consciousness.
It is a violent rending, a putting to death, of the unregenerated self-nature.

2 Corinthians 3:16 - But whenever a man turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.

Ephesians 4:1-3
As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.

Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.

Me first, how are we doing?

Jesus said, "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love." (John 15:7-9)

NO; I did not jump ship, this pass week I was at Bible College taking some refresher courses.

I usually teach but when the college schedule was made us I did not know if I could attend due to my physical condition. It was rough but the Lord allowed me to get through it.

1Timothy 1:13
Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man,
I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief.

Thank you Lord Jesus for coming into my life with your mercy.
