He's gorgeous! Reba, if it's allergies you might want to look into getting some locally grown honey and drizzle it lightly on her food. That gives her a build up of local pollens and can help with it. My mum has to do it with her bigger dog. Her smallest dog is loosing all his teeth; apparently he just has bad teeth so she has to give him soft food. We lock him up while he eats and then clean his dish up whenever he's done and let the other dogs in. Thing 1 got the genius idea to put him on the dining room and feed him that way. It worked until he got done then he got skeered and peed on the table.

LOL about the dog peeing on the table, Hadassah :D I've never heard of giving local honey to cats to help them with allergies...always something new to learn with pet care. Did you know that an application of unfiltered apple cider vinegar on the back of a cat's neck twice a day will help clear up an eye infection? You put on just enough to make a small wet spot on the back of their neck and somehow it helps clear up the eye infection. Fascinating... Spiffy is quite handsome...here are today's photos: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=1359844&l=c5436c69f0&id=1538345016 We put a blue feather on his head, and he let us do it. Such a mellow little thing! Patricia, is that Henry in your avatar? A very handsome fellow indeed :)

I know! It worked for Orion and I'm sure it helped with Spiffy. We were also using terramyacin ointment on Spiffy because his infection was nasty. Here is one site with info about it: http://www.vetinfo.com/cat-eye-infection.html

Here is some more info from that site in my previous post: quote:
Adding a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar to your cat's water is also said to prevent allergies, which can cause eye irritation, from bothering your cat.

What a lovely girl, Patricia. We may end up just fixing this cat, there's a free clinic coming up. She seems comfortable just hanging around. I hesitate to keep ignoring her so much, and I just cannot. I'm not even sorry for that. How can we be like our Father and not behave as He does? If He cares for sparrows, he surely cares for cats. I'm glad to hear of the trick with the vinegar. I'm going to try that on our Lindy. Thanks. quote:

Not me personally, but my aunt and uncle did have a cat who lived to about 20 years of age.

My cat is 19 years old, which would be 90 in human years. I've read that Siamese can live to be 20+, and the vet says he's in pretty good shape for his age, although he has kidney problems and is on a special (expensive) diet. The vet said if a cat's older than 10, he probably has arthritis, and Tut definitely isn't as bouncy as he used to be. His movements don't seem to be painful though, just slower, and he can still move fast when he wants to. I'm amused by his fascination with open doors, and he likes to go inside if he can. He likes it when I open the cabinet door under the sink because there's enough room for him to get in there. Even when I open the refrigerator door, he'll stand there in front of me and look in.

We do have a CVS in Omaha that just opened recently, I wonder if they'll have it. I think it's 20 bucks online. That is how much it was at the emery cat website.

That stray brindle colored female is still hanging around the RV. I went walking late last night, and it followed me out as is its habit. I turned to see how it was doing, and in the moonlight discovered the cat was across the road and what was walking behind me was a fawn. I was praying about if I should continue preparing for Christian leadership in the church. I like deer. So the fawn and the cat and I walked in the moonlight as I prayed to God last night. Cool. There are not too many openings in the Protestant church for St. Francis types, so I've no idea if God was having fun at my expense or telling me something. We'll keep plodding along, my cats and I and see what God has in store.
