Father,
There are many who received word before Christmas that they were being laid off before January 1st because companies want to start the new year with a leaner headcount. Even though they might have made it through Christmas Day without dealing with this sad event, I know that they are hurting today as they face unemployment. I pray that You will help those who are facing this situation and open up doors of opportunity so that they can find new positions very soon. Send help to them in whatever way You feel is best, Lord, and protect them from the evil one.
I ask this in Jesus' Precious Name,

Father God, help all of those who are without jobs and cannot support their families.
Lord, please be merciful and help them find those opportunities You have chosen
for them. Be with them as they go through tests or interviews. Make it so the person
doing the hiring will find favor with them. Please Lord, help them before they fall into
despair.
I pray in Jesus' name,
Amen.

Father, please provide jobs for those who have lost them or who will be losing them. It is a horrifying feeling to be out of work with a family to support. In fact, it is very difficult even without a family. Lord, please be merciful and lead each one to the job that You have chosen for them. Open the doors of opportunity and lead them through. Protect them and their families during this difficult time.

There are so many people who no longer have a way to make a living because they were released for various reasons from their place of work. I ask that You open doors for them so that they can find new positions. Lead each one to the place You want them to be. Provide ways for them to be able to make it financially until new work is found. Lord, lift them up and give them encouragement. Touch the hearts of others who can reach out and help them in tangible ways. Help them keep their homes and during this challenging time, please draw them close to You. Keep them in Your loving care, Lord, and may You receive all the glory for the wonderful answers to prayer that I know will come.

Protect them from unscrupulous employers who might try to take advantage of their desparate need. Provide them with opportunities that are better than those lost. Open doors and guide them through.

Lord,
I pray for those who are without job, please provide for them and open up a door of opportunity so that they can work again. Lord, for myself, you know the problems on my job. With technology, I now need more work to do each and every day. I'm thankful they haven't let me go, and I'm thankful they are so good to me. But I really need to work and feel useful while I'm here, and I ask that you would show me favor and provide work for me. In Jesus name, I pray, amen.
