MAKE ME YOUR APPRENTICE, DEAR HOLY SPIRIT!!
Oh loving Father,
Help me today to have an open heart, so that I will not be blind to your Word and Your leading. I want to be open and accepting of your Word. I want to give homage to the most basic principles of God that were taught to us by your son Jesus…charity, love, and compassion.
While He walked this earth with man, Jesus did many great, kind and loving deeds. But many of the onlookers were steeped in evil, self-centeredness, and greed. Their hearts being cold made them blind to God’s Word. They believed themselves to be righteous and were too focused on their own interests to see the love of the Lamb. They belittled the Holy Spirit and interfered with the work of Jesus, engineering fault in any way that they could.
Lord, help me to see the beauty in your work today. Let me be your assistant, your apprentice, and your servant, working with a pure heart to show charity, love, and compassion. Let me not look upon other’s good works with judgment, or superstition. Help me to be open to the teachings and example of the One who lived a perfect life and came to show us the way to God.

Lord,
Today in particular through messages on the radio, through e-mails, and just in life in general, it's as though you would tell me that though things don't always make sense to me, some things just seem like they pull us backward instead of forward, you are going to work all those things together for good, I thank you for that and pray that your will be done in my life, in my family, and in this world. In Jesus name, I pray, amen.
