Father,
Please heal this wound and keep her from having to go through major surgery again. Lord, according to Your Divine Plan, I ask that You heal her completely, removing every cancer cell from her body. Nothing is too hard for you, and there is not a disease in existence that You cannot heal. I thank You for what you have done and will do in her life. Help Pamela experience Your Perfect Peace, and I thank You for her testimony of Your goodness. Protect her from harm, hold her in Your most tender and loving care, and I pray that Your Will is done in her life for her good and for Your Glory.

Hello, (((everyone))) . . .
Thank you all for your prayers!
Our LORD is excellent; He alone is God.
I begin taking Arimidex tomorrow morning. (3-15-10.) It is an anti-cancer medicine, an aromatase inhibitor, which is one of the top front-line medicines in the fight against cancer. I have only about 4 more Herceptin infusions left to go, out of a total year-and-a-half treatment.
Please pray, amongst other things:
That the Arimidex will be effective all 5 years that I must take it;
That Arimidex will not cause me any (or minimal) side effects. It can cause severe joint pain and disability related thereto.
Thank you so much, my brothers & sisters in our Lord.

Lord thank you so much for providing such wonderful care for Pamela. Thank you for the joy she brings to others as she wages war against this cancer. We ask that you will cause her body to completely heal with no side effects from the medications she must take (specifically the Arimidex) and that continue to show Yourself in a mighty way in her life. Thank you for the glory we see of You in the way she has filled others with Your joy during a time that would be quite difficult without Your presence. Hello, ((( everyone ))) :
My oncologist asked me about side effects I was experiencing from Arimidex. Upon hearing what they were, he discontinued the Arimidex.
I will begin taking another cancer medication in less than three weeks. The medication is Aromasin.
Also, I changed neurologists. I had the same neurologist for 42 years. I'm now seeing a neurologist much, much closer to where I live.
I reported the 6 seizures I recently had to my new neurologist.
He said that, by law, he MUST report this to the DMV. He assured me he will stress in his report that I did not lose consciousness, but that the DMV may revoke my driver's license.
Also, despite my Phenytoin (anti-convulsant medicine) being increased, my serum levels are still too low, which puts me at risk for seizures.
My neurologist has ordered an MRI with & without contrast. Because I am claustrophobic, I will be under general anesthesia. He is puzzled as to why I'm suddenly having seizures after being seizure-free for 42 years, and that my anti-convulsant medicine level is low.
My Mom & great grandmother both had brain tumors. Of course, I pray that I do not. Under the circumstances, though---it is a strong possibility.
I would appreciate prayer, please.

Protect Pamela of any more ill effects from the medicines she needs to take.

Hello, ((( everyone ))) and thank you all so much for your prayers and words of encouragement!
I'd like to share with you that I have received THE MOST WONDERFUL news from my Oncologist!
On paperwork he had filled out, I saw last night where, under "Disease Status" he had filled out: NED.
NED is the acronym for: No Evidence of Disease! This is much better than a diagnosis of STABLE.
I am so happy and elated! Thank You, Lord Jesus.
Additionally, I had a CT scan of my chest today because my surgeon is concerned about the pain and tenderness in the right side and in ribcage. I will receive the results of this scan in one week. Also, he wants to see what's going on inside the deep wound. He has referred me to a Plastic Surgeon to assess whether or not the wound can be surgically corrected soon.
So I await the results of the CT scan. My Oncologist did not know of the upcoming scan---it was decided upon a day after he wrote NED on the form.
Perhaps this is a MAJOR TURNING POINT in my battle for my life against cancer.
Whatever the outcome, Jesus is LORD!
I will keep you all posted.
