Lord,
I pray for your church today, the one where you have placed me. She was once great, but she is declining quickly. There are some wonderful sincere christians there who truly want to worship you and are seeking your face, but Lord there are a couple of people in positions of leadship and who work there with blatant sin that has hurt other people and seeing them there is such a discouragement to me. It discourages me when there are rules made and agreed upon, but they don't apply to everyone. I know it's your church and you are able, but I pray for her, that you would help her to do what is right in all things. In Jesus name, I pray, amen.

Father,
The gates of hell have opened up and the evil one is trying to take Your church down.
You have said in Your Word that the gates of hell will not prevail against the church.
Help each of us to understand that we who believe and trust in Jesus are Your church
and we must seek unity with Jesus as the foundation of all that we do.
Strengthen Your church and protect it from evil. Help each person who sits in the pews
seek Your Will and turn from anything that displeases You. Help each one of us remember
that we are Your Children and we must act accordingly. Help us, Lord, to make Your
Church all that You have willed.

Help each member of each church congregation to be nonjudgmental. Help us all to realize that a church is something like a hospital where we go because we want to get well, not because we are well already. In Jesus Christ’s name we pray for our churches. Amen.

Lord,
My heart is grieving for the church where you have placed me. I have had so many problems of my own, I have not truly seen what is happening all around me until last night. I began to look around and I saw a child quietly crying beside her dad. Her siblings and friends could not console her and I realized her mother was not there and remembered things I had heard. I saw a young man sitting very close to his grandparents, and I thought about how he had made it through almost three years in Afghanistan, and wondered how they felt about him returning for his final three weeks. I noticed an empty spot where an older couple once sat and remembered how he had left her and thought about how hard it probably was for her to come alone. I thought about how much we really need one another. If we can't reach out and minister to each other, how can we ever reach out to the world. Lord, bind the enemy from our congregation, unify us Lord, and help us to be your hands and your feet and your heart to those within our congregation who are hurting, and Father I pray that it would be a witness to those outside our congregation and you would use love to draw them. In Jesus name, I pray, amen.

Yes, Lord. Please hear the cries of those who see evil inside the walls of their church. I pray for a special annointing of Your holy spirit to be unleashed in all churches and in Your people. The enemy is on a mission .I pray that he is unable to prevail. Please let your goodness cast a shadow on any wickedness, so that he will tremble and he will flee. Help the strong to lift up and encourage the weak. Let the absolute Truth be preached behind the pulpits this morning. I give You thanks Lord for those who's hearts are burdened by what they see. Let your Light shine in this world of darkness. I give you all glory, honor and praise. Please hear this prayer and the many others listed here. In the name of our Lord Jesus, I pray. Amen

Jesus,
as Sunday nears I ask that You will prepare our hearts and minds for worship and a further understanding of You. I pray that we will receive Your truths and put them into practice throughout the week.
Please make the churches we attend bring glory to You and only You in all of their functions. May we not seek personal gain as Your body, but strive to learn more of You.
