I read earlier today that Conan O'Brien recently said that FaceBook, Youtube, and Twitter are going to merge into one huge time-wasting network.

They will call it YouTwitFace.

There are two threads. The older one was very moderate, the newest one much less so. I can post if you would like, but that wasn't the point.

I'm not sure how you figure. If they deliberately refuse to commit themselves to a church, they are just guests without claims of rights. By the same token, should a member say something about their lifestyle, they can come back with, "You can't tell me how to live, I'm not a member."

And I have heard people say things like that.

I'm sure that you aren't like that, but every time I've mentioned something about joining to a long time attendee, they have a list of reasons ready as to their choice to remain uncommitted, usually some strong disagreement with doctrine or practices. It doesn't make me mad, I just honor their choice to refuse to join.

Sorry, Millie, but the so-called "obvious" is absurd and only deserves jokes. It is as silly as the Dark Sucker Theory, except that the DST was intended as a joke.

Tares are hypocrites - they look like wheat and act like wheat and grow with wheat. They could be a nice deacon, a sweet Sunday School teacher, or a hell-fire & brimestone preacher. They could be your prayer buddy. One might even be your favorite radio preacher.

In the parable of wheat and tares, only the Lord can discern them well enough to root them out.

If you see ungodly, immoral people and denying the Lord, they ain't tares.

Lisa, you cheated!

What do you have planned for the Labor Day weekend? Anything special? Family get-together? Just relaxing?
